Mamiya 1000 DTL |
|
| This Mamiya, the Spotmatic and the Petri all use the "universal" M42
screw mount popular in the 60's and early 70's. Mamiya has now stopped producing 35mm SLR's and is focusing on medium
format. The last 35mm SLR was the ZM Quartz, released in 1982. The Mamiyas have always had a reputation for good build
quality and excellent optics. The 1000 DTL was no exception. In addition to the standard SLR features of those days, it
also has both average and spot metering (as indicated by the worn blue sticker on the camera). This camera was bought new in 1970 by my father and now gets an occasional outing when I'm out with my M42 equipment. |
