Rolleicord III

In this age of digital, compact aps and slr cameras, I'm not at all surprised at the strange looks I get when I walk around with a tlr (popping open a medium format folder camera seems to have the same effect). Half a century ago these twin lens reflex cameras we're the choice of professionals and serious amateurs. Then came the slr and relatively quickly captured the market. You can still buy tlr's new, a Rolleiflex 2.8 GX will set you back around 3000 euros :)
The Rolleicord was a cheaper version of the "Rolls Royce" of tlr's, the Rolleiflex.

I was on the look out for a flex, when I came across this cord. Very little signs of use and it came with a load of extras: a dozen Rollei filters, a Rolleinar/Rolleiparkeil close-up lens set, Minolta Autopole (a geared dual polarizer), two Rollei lens shades and a plate film back for 6x9 plate film (handy if all you want is a frame or two). By the way, I'm still on the look out for a flex in good condition...
